Putting butter in coffee in the vitamix really does make a fantastic creamy drink - no comparison to just stirring butter in to the coffee. I tried it for a while to reduce my dairy consumption by using ghee instead of cream. One day it just stopped tasting good to me. I don't know why. But now I have given up coffee.
I don't really see it as a magic formula for weight loss though. If having a breakfast of all fat keeps your appetite reduced then it may be a good choice for you.
Using low lectin/nightshade free primal to control autoimmune arthritis. (And lost 50 lbs along the way )
I've used unsalted butter when I've run out of cream. I can drink coffee black, but I like it light first thing. I use a battery operated milk frother. I just put in a tablespoon of butter, fill the cup 1/2 or a little less, use the frother and fill my cup the rest of the way with coffee.
