        Yeah, as is, th erecipe has 1.25 cups of flour. Definitely not Primal.

        But I could see substituting maybe coconut flour, dipping the spears in the eggs and dredging it in a mix of Parmesan and the coconut flour. That might work and still be pretty good.

          Hmm... almond or other nut flour/meal would work mixed with the Parm too. Nutty goodness. (Just don't tell the nut haters!)
          Plus there wouldn't be a ton stuck to the spears... I assume when things are dredged that most is getting tossed.

            I'd just roast them with some olive oil & garlic, then maybe dip them in some greek yogurt.

              oh hell.. I did not tell you how I modified it. LOL

              Lay them in the pan, butter on top, parm on top bake.. screw the flour.

                Mmm, I love roasting asparagus!
                I tried sprinkling them with parmesean once and the cheese just melted into this mesh that all came away in one piece with the first stalk off the plate

                this is a much better idea, thanks for sharing!
