So I just made my first back of rendered fat today for some winter confits. I put the majority of it in the freezer for later usage and began to wonder - if I use a microwave to melt the frozen fat, am the ruining it? If so, how can I get it up to warm temperature? Hot water run over the mason jar seems like the only other option.
