  • Help me make farmers cheese taste good!

Bought some expecting a slightly creamier version of cream cheese, but it was tasteless! How do I not waste this $4 tub of dry tasteless junk? Ricotta substitute in something maybe? D:

    Add in your own flavours.

Capers? Pickled gherkin? Pickled chilli? Smoked mackerel?
Spread that onto a firm lettuce leaf and sprinkle over some leftover shredded meat. Quick, easy and damn good lunches.

Salt? I'm pretty sure cream cheese has a good bit of salt. Salt makes pretty much everything taste better. It's science.

Or, you can bake kolaches and use it for filling. Add cinnamon sugar and raisins to the farmers cheese. Oh, wait. Kolaches aren't primal. Shoot.

Sriracha hot sauce and green chilis is a favorite of mine....

                  Garlic and dill

Sundried tomatos and pine nuts...maybe some artichoke hearts? Stuff a chix breast or pound a pork tenderloin flat, spread that on it, roll it up and bake/or grill it.....and I bet that'd be tasty!

                  fresh basil

cinnamon and walnuts and a tiny bit of honey?

I have dairy goats and make chevre quite a bit... your farmers cheese is a blank slate for you to flavor flave! Good luck!

Chop up a whole lot of rosemary, oregano and thyme together (or substitute your favorite herbs!), add these to a spoonful olive oil with crushed garlic and paprika and stir into the cheese.
