  • Non egg breakfast ideas please?

I can't seem to find many breakfast ideas that don't involve eggs - any help please?

My chicken omelette, chicken & mushroom omellette seem to be my only breakfasts at the moment and some mornings I don't fancy eggs and never sure what to have.

I've started going thru to midday (unheard of for me before primal blueprint!) and having a chicken salad but looking for inspiration please?

Big A$$ Salad! Berries, nuts and cream. Jerky or pemmican.

Dinner leftovers. Some of my best, longest-lasting breakfasts are dinner leftovers.

Who says you need to eat breakfast foods for breakfast? It's all food, so eat whatever primal food you want. If you want to eat a steak with some veggies in the morning, and an omelette at night then do so. You could always make a shake if you want, I do this sometimes if I can't nor want to make breakfast before work. I use coconut milk, frozen berries, some liquid egg whites and maybe some ground flax.

leftovers here. If I eat breakfast at all really. I'm rarely hungry before 10am now, and usually just wait until lunch. But steak is delicious in the morning

I'm an egg-woman myself, but lots of people make pancake-like stuff, or nut-concoctions (kind of like cereal) or even pumpkin-based things. Here's some links:

                Other ideas:

                - Protein shakes w/ heavy cream

                - Greek yogurt w/ berries/nuts

I want a lot of protein in the morning, so for several years, my standard breakfast has been wild salmon or tuna salad (just homemade mayo and chopped celery).

I find that sufficient protein and fat in the morning really sets me up well for the day.

Smoothies are always good in the morning, frozen berries or other fruit, whey protein, almond milk (a little heavy cream for thickness) and 1 tbl. flax oil, blend it up (add ice if you're not using frozen fruit), drink and go. It's also portable if you're on the fly.

Great ideas I love my eggs so much so I will have eggs with my leftovers However, after reading Marks post about fermented foods, I'm going to start having Kiefer or Greek yogurt, mix in some fruit. I love the stuff.

Sometimes I'll just bust open a couple of ripe avocados and eat them with a spoon.

                          I sometimes make a shake.

                          1 scoop of protien powder

                          12 oz whole milk

                          1 banana

                          1 scoop of almond butter

I have a hand blender and blend it up... it's pretty quick.

They can be a bit carb-heavy, but how about setting some apples in the slow cooker overnight for baked apples in the morning.

Core apples. Fill with a mix of chopped nuts, chopped dried fruit, cinnamon, and other seasonings. Dot with butter (or lard if you've got any). Place filled apples in the slow cooker. Add a little bit of water (or apple cider if you've got any). Set on low and let it ride all night.

My weekly breakfast: 1 scoop whey protein, 4-6 ounces coconut milk, 8 oz water. Yum.
