  • primal junk food snack

Here's a really easy snack I've been making lately since I discovered shredded coconut is dirt cheap: just mix some peanutbutter, coco powder, shredded coconut and a little bit of coconut milk together; eat from the spoon. It's delicious for those who partake in peanutbutter and doesn't need sweeteners.

Sounds good. Peanuts are not really primal, though. I will try that using something like almond butter. Thanks for sharing.

Anybody know the best place to buy UN-sweetened coconut flakes? All I see in the store is sweetened. If not actual stores, good online retailers that have it? TIA.

Whole Foods carries shredded unsweetened. I also like thicker flakes.

Kroger carries it, thank goodness! The store brand of unsweetened flakes are surrounded by 3 or 4 brands of sweetened flakes, though. I hope that's not a sign that unsweetened flakes are on the way out.
