  • Need help finding a way to make a 0 total carb treat! Any ideas?!

I don't want to do any almond flour or coconut flour, I want something that can be made with something that is 0 total carbs (not net but total)! Thank you for any ideas I'm dying for something!

Coconut flour and almond flour are loaded with carbs. Most of it is fiber, but it won't do. Simply put, I don't think there is anything you can do with 0 total carbs outside of just eating meat or coconut oil. Start making beef jerky. It's the only 0 carb treat I can think of. You can make a treat just by melting coconut oil and rolling up unsweetened shredded coconut and stevia together - almost like macaroons - but shredded coconut still has carbs, even though it's mostly fibrous. Another option is to whip egg whites, fold them into the yolks, bake it like bread and spread butter on it. That is the closest you'll get, but even eggs have about 1g of carbs. Not exactly a sweet treat, though.

My advice is to buy an ice cream maker. I make ice cream out of heavy cream, coconut milk, stevia powder, unsweetened baker's chocolate and extracts. It's damn near 0 carb, it's very filling and it's delicious.

Make a giant meringue using nutrasweet instead of caster sugar.

red wine and dark chocolate weren't made in a lab and haven't been shown to cause cancer in lab animals.

And don't forget, the chemical that gives you the buzz in red wine is ETHANOL

In the scheme of things, you'd be better off with the nutrasweet.

Why would you use a horribly toxic chemical like aspartame when you can get stevia? It's natural, there are no side effects, there is no insulin response (unlike shitty Nutrasweet) and the only side effect is...it may lower your blood pressure. Oh, and it's cheap.

sweet treat-- berries in heavy cream (very lc), or just go straight for the throat: a sip of heavy cream or some butter. Cheese is 0 carb, so are pickles, but when it comes down to it, most of the choices there are devoid of nutrients. Would a stick of gum satisfy your sweet tooth?

I dunno mate, I wouldn't eat either. I thought it was obvious I was being facetious.
I'd just eat the carbs and throw in an extra set of squats.

What is the point of 0 carb as opposed to just a few carbs? Zero carbers are stuck with an all-meat and oil diet.
A cup of fresh raspberries has very few carbs and can be topped with whipped heavy cream.
If you are new to the PB - please ignore ALL of this stuff, until you've read the book, or at least http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/ and this (personal fave): http://www.archevore.com/get-started/

If you eat dark chocolate, you can make a (false) pot de creme with just scalded whipping cream, dark chocolate, and egg yolks. Put two yolks in a blender with 1 1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate. Scald 1 1/4 cup whipping cream, and with the blender running, pour the whipping cream over the eggs and chocolate until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour into small cups, cover and chill for at least 3 hours.
