  • Hawaiian Meatza

Any of you have ideas on what to season the base of a Hawaiian Meatza with. All I've come up with is garlic & onion powders and S&P. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

What about something a wee bit sweet, like teriyaki sauce?

You definitely need to use Spam. Stick it together with meat glue.

But seriously, all of the tropical fruits are fairly high carb. I think you need to add a little bit of pineapple or it's not Hawaiian IMHO. Perhaps use pineapple extract. Or just a bit of minced pineapple. Work in some kind of coconut. I would say tamari instead of teriyaki.

        Simple teriyaki sauce
        1/2c tamari
        1/4c pineapple juice or agave
        1 heaping tsp chopped garlic
        1 tsp chopped ginger

Put all ingredients in pot and bring to a low boil then simmer till thickened.

To get a true taste of Hawaiian pizza you need few strategically placed pineapple chunks and uncured canadian bacon

Perhaps also try using ground pork instead of ground beef?
