    So today is the Kentucky Derby. For those of you not familiar with horse racing (or me), it's like the super bowl. Super Bowl = GREAT FOOD!
    If you are celebrating the Derby today, what are you fixing?

    we are having boneless ribs, homemade potato chips, veggie platter, and shameless non Primal goodies including homemade key lime cheesecake with a chocolate ganache bottom in a oreo cookie crust, chocolate chipotle turtles, toffee chocolate chip cookies, and a chocolate chip orange mascarpone dip. YUM!

      The lack of mint juleps on that menu is disappointing.
      Are you a college student, trying to navigate college while being Primal? Do you know any other PB college students on a tight budget? Heck, for that matter, are YOU trying to live Primal on a budget? Enroll at Primal University!

      For after all what is man in nature? A nothing in relation to infinity, all in relation to nothing, a central point between nothing and all and infinitely far from understanding either.

        LOL. We're Mormon. We don't booze around, sorry.

        the key lime pie with chocolate ganache bottom ROCKED! It was so pretty and... SUMMERY. I should have gotten pictures before I cut it.

          It's amusing, you're in Utah and get all into it, we're in Louisville and do our best to avoid all the trappings thereof. :}

          When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.

          When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didnít understand the assignment.

          I told them they didnít understand life.

            LOL, that IS funny, Chris. I've been hooked on horse racing since I was 9. My aunt was a security worker for Saratoga in NY, and one year she came to visit my mom & I and brought me a magazine with Julie Krone on the cover and a pull out poster of Secretariat in full Superman mode

              If you ever make it out this way, let me know and I'll make sure to show you around - there are quite a few museums dedicated to the race and horses in general. :}

                I had the good fortune to visit Mecca (aka Churchill Downs) in 2005, and Jonabell at Darley afterwards. It was awesome! I'm hoping to attend Breyerfest someday. Will def let you know if I ever make it out that way. Kentuck's got good eats, but only a local Blueprinter would know where to find the good stuff

                  awwwww Bork, we need to hook up! I was glued to the tv all day watching the ponies. Didn't do anything special today but someday I'm gonna have a huge Derby party with everyone required to wear special hats and mint julips (I'm sure you can make them without booze...somehow). When I do you're gonna have to bring the family over!!

                        I've done fantasy racing since I was 15, and it's based on real pedigrees and smarts and strategy. My derby winner's name is Holy Glit. Also bred/trained a Triple Tiara winner, Fusaichi Insight.

                          I would (cause you totally had me going) except I can't laugh too hard, I used to have an entire stable of world champion reining and cutting horses. I was worth big bucks in the fantasy horsey world

                            Some day I will go, and wear a fantastically overpriced ridiculous hat. Yes, yes I will.
