Mine is the BlendTec Total Blender, with the larger container. I'm making smoothies for ten people! We still make two batches, but everyone gets 7-8 oz for each servings.

See page 1. I have a really naughty drink I call Super Nog made with 1/2 pint HWC, 6 eggs, vanilla, and spices. 1200 cals per cup, LOL

How did I miss that earlier? Thanks; I see they're pretty different. I'll give yours a try next time the nog cravings hit. And I was thinking your "naughty" nog would have some booze in it—but the cals certainly make it plenty naughty!

It's all good. My "Super Nog" is actually listed in the recipe forum somewhere.

Did you get rid of any of your kitchen appliances after you got your vitamix?
I didn't actually get rid of any appliances (I'm a real "gadget queen"), but when my food processor died I didn't replace it for many years. I just bought another food processor last year because I was trying a raw food diet and wanted the food processor for some things the Vitamix couldn't do (slicing veggies for dehydrating). I've also used the Vitamix to make Almond Mylk and Hemp Seed mylk. Haven't made any nut mylk lately since I'm no longer eating cereal and oatmeal.

I'm guessing the banana probably serves a purpose in the baked goods besides just sweetening, but am not sure.
In smoothies, it acts as a sweetener and thickener. Mango, yogurt, etc would work fine.

For baking, banana acts as the sweetener and as a texture/moisture agent. You can replace the banana in banana bread with sweet potato and lots of spices and make a nice spice bread.

I smoothie in my Thermomix!! Nothing it can't blitz!

                      50:50 coconut milk:coconut water
                      frozen berries of choice
frozen banana (when they're not $13.00 a kilo that is)
                      2 florets of frozen broccoli
2 cubes of frozen blitzed bok choy (could sub with any leafy green)
                      Vanilla Hemp protein powder.

Yum! Even my 2yo DS loves it. 4yo DD however usually doesnt dig the coconut flavour but she like the last one.

I had one hell of a dinner last night. One of the sides was a smoothie:

                        -1/2 cup coconut milk
                        -1 oz macadamia nuts
                        -1 oz water
                        -3/8 cup frozen blueberries

Macadamia nuts are AWESOME in smoothies!

                          Pumpkin Banana Bread Smoothie:

                          1 Cup Cultured Coconut Milk
                          2 TBSP Pumpkin Puree
                          1 Medium Banana
                          1 TBSP Shredded Coconut
                          1 tsp Cinnamon
                          1/4 Cup Ice

This was one of the best smoothies I have ever enjoyed. It was submitted by a facebook friend. It will be included in the Primal Smoothie Recipe eBook. Do you have a recipe you would like included in the eBook?

Hi PrimalToad, just curious, i just paid for your pre-ordered smoothie recipes e-book, and got a 12 recipes preview. I understand that thats just a very small part of preview of the final product, but just to confirm that the finished e-book will be out on mon, 6 june? and it will consist of 500 smoothie recipes? And how will i receive the final e-book? By e-mail as a link to download?

Also, on your website under the 'newsletter' section, it states that ''Receive the Last Edition of the Primal Smoothie Recipe eBook Pre-Order for FREE!'', is that the same as the 12 recipe preview? Because i subscribed but didn't receive any recipe e-book.

Sorry for the amount of questions and i'm very glad there is a primal smoothie recipe book out there!

                              Thanks for the questions!!

I would LOVE to clear all of your questions up for you. And, keep in mind that it comes with a 100% money back LIFETIME guarantee. So, if you do not like what I am doing any point then just let me know!

Yes, it will be out on Monday June 6. I am working my ass off this week on it. One june 6 it will NOT consist of 500 recipes. My best estimation is around 25 or 30. BUT, I will be continuously making smoothies. You will receive 1 update per month with additional smoothies and other updates as I receive feedback from the buyers.

I will send you an e-mail link for you to download when its finished. Look for it around 6 pm EST on Monday!

Yes, the newsletter version is the same as the one you get when you pre order. In less than a few days I will have a "teaser" version for people who sign up for my newsletter. Possibly half of the current recipes and half of the content. I may disclude some of the prices in the free version. It's a marketing tool of course. But, at a $7 pre order price... everyone can afford it!

One more note on the 500 recipes...

I have semi decided to make it 600. 200 from me, 200 from fan submissions and 200 from restaurants. If you have a recipe that you think is awesome and want included in the eBook then submit it to me for approval. I will make it myself and include it if I like it. I will link back to your blog, facebook, twitter, tumblr, youtube, etc.

I will also be traveling around the world doing a number of things. One of them is to go to restaurants that serve smoothies or are willing to serve 1 smoothie. I will create a recipe with whomever at the restaurant and they will then feature it on their menu. I will then talk about the restaurant on that smoothie page within the eBook so others can try it out if that restaurant is in their earlier.

My goal is to make this the most interactive recipe Book to ever hit the market. I plan on coming out with a hardcover next year, maybe in 2013. Time will tell. I will go in spurts where I make 30 recipes in one week and then I may take an entire week off where I don't make any. But, I won't stop till I reach 500, more than likely 600 now.

Does this make sense? I could make up 500 recipes and most would be good. I refuse to do that. I MUST try them myself and improve them. All recipes include special comments/suggestions from me. So you could say its more than 1000 recipes really.

                              Any other questions?

                                Oh, one more thing...

you said you did not receive anything when you signed up for my newsletter. Well, let me ask you this...

Did you receive an e-mail right away after confirming your subscription? Inside that eMail there should be an attachment. I am working on creating a download link - I am not sure how to do this at the moment. If you received no eMail then it may have went to your spam!
