Baba Ghanouj, Curried chicken livers with Cauliflower and Avocado appetizer
Ghee is the arabic word for clarified butter. Ghee spices are often found in Middle eastern grocery stores and used to flavor clarified butter. They give the meat great flavor but I don't like using clarifed butter too much, so this is a great way to get the flavor. hope this helps, if you have anymore questions let me know.
I've been searching for an Indian lamb curry recipe - any recipe/cookbook suggestions?
I'm not much into indian food, at least not yet, but I know this author Madhur Jaffrey has some great cook books on the subject. Also this book seems to be really popular and it demystifies and simplifies indian food " 5 Spices, 50 Dishes: Simple Indian Recipes Using Five Common Spices" by Ruta Kahate, check your local library for copies. hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know.
