One of my favorite food memories is spending the day at a place near Topolobampa, Mexico on the Sea of Cortez. Two dollars would buy a plate of medium oysters, salsa, and lime juice, about 15 of them. The oysters came from the mangroves on the inland side of the spit, brought in that morning. I saw the huge pile of them in the kitchen, they just keep adding ice during the day.
