  • Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt recommendations????

    Hi All,
I'm looking for some recommendations on where to get some dark chocolate + sea salt. I have had a tiny taste of this here or there but I am dying for some in larger quantities. I prefer my dark chocolate in the 80-84% range though that varies by brand. I'm in San Francisco.

    Thanks for your help

    Matt

Make your own? Chocolate smithing is really pretty easy to do as long as you can handle using a water bath. Even disasters taste ok, they just look like a hersheys bar you left on your dashboard.

Here's a recipe for an almond bark and sea salt version. I bet the nuts would be optional...

Lindt makes a fleur de sel bar.

(I guess for the US market it's called "A Touch of Sea Salt"? In Anglo Canada it's just fleur de sel).

OH OH HOLY DAMN. I have the answer to your question right here:

Poco Dolce. It's a chocolate company based in San Francisco that makes bittersweet ( around 70-80% ) chocolate. All natural, and the best chocolate I've had in my entire life. I found a piece of this in a coffee shop yesterday and absolutely died the second it met my mouth. Go or the Aztec Chilli or Almond pieces; they have the least sugar.
