Scratch my last post, I'm making these TONIGHT. My husband won't be home till later, so he can't make any of his comments about how I eat "weird" things. =]

They're really interesting, in a good way!

The texture is fabulous. I think the lightly-cooked avocado tastes different than raw avocado.. and mixed with the sweetness and toastedness of the coconut, and the little bit of salt I added... it's just really a unique flavor. The first bite or two I wasn't sure I liked it, but now I'm hooked!

It would make a great appetizer for parties. Or something to whip up for myself if my husband is eating mozzarella sticks or chicken fingers.

I posted a picture on facebook, with a link to your blog post, I can't wait to hear what my CW friends have to say about it. I think my foodie friends will love it, though!

Just made these. Really good and easy. Served with a bit of sour cream. I think a bit of chili pepper might be an interesting combo with the sweetness of the coconut and the creaminess of the avocado. I love to experiment with flavors. Sometimes it works; sometimes...

I had deep fried avocado at the state fair. 'course that was a few years ago, pre-primal. Was good.

I bought avocados today just to make these tomorrow. Fatkid - have you gotten around to making them as bite size pieces?
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret? You choose.

                          Oh look - I made a Journal.

@mayness I'm glad you liked them! I'm hooked myself They are definitely unique but, as you've said, not in a bad way at all

@MrP Ooo I'll have to try them with sour cream! I didn't even think of that! If you try the chili pepper and it works well I'd love to hear about it... I love new flavor combinations!

@Rivvin I think they will work wonderfully as a side for steak...Mmmmmsteak

@SheGlowsPale I, unfortunately, didn't get a chance to make the bite sized pieces last night... hopefully tonight though!

Hi! I read this recipe last night, saw some avacado at the market today and decided to give it a try. Not only did I love them, but 2 out of 3 of my kids loved them too and said these are definitely a "make again!" My non-primal friend dropped by while I was making them and she loved them, too! Thanks for sharing!
