    I was spurred by the 2 pints of farm-fresh organic strawberries...

    I halved some & mixed with some blueberries I had in the freezer (thawed).
    sprinkled cinnamon & ginger on top.
    **Warning** non-primal part here: added a splash of Grand Marinier
    I let that sit on the counter for a bit, stirring occassionally. Then I whipped cream.
    (be sure to lick all the cream out of the bowl & off the whisk)
    serve in little dishes or wine glasses to be fancy

    this was a bare-minimum, last minute thing. This has TONS of room for improvisation.
    (like chocolate whipped cream, nuts, coconut, etc etc etc)

    OOOHHH... I did something very similar a couple day ago.
    marinated strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in coconut oil, vanilla and tequila for about an hour, then grilled them in a grilling basket. Served it over whipped heaven. Everybody RAVED about it.
    Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

      YOWZA!!! Thanks for that fab idea! it IS the wknd for grilling...
      That reminds of a grilled watermelon recipe I've got somewhere....
