  • Do You Meditate?

    Hi everyone,

    I teach meditation, and have been paleo for about a year or more now. Meditation has had very clear benefits for me and those I teach, but so has diet. High fat, low carb in general has improved the anxiety levels of one of my students so much that it's hard to motivate him to meditate

    But when I talk of "meditation" I don't mean 5mins of listening to some kind of floaty new age music followed by some "affirmations". Im talking about deep, measurable, real change in the way the mind works. The way we relate to our reality. Stress relief is just the tip of the iceberg.

    In a bid to teach more people I developed a free program. A set of guided meditations designed to lead people from "wtf is this?" to having a solid skill with which to develop and train the mind over time.

    I've not asked anyone from the paleo/primal crowd to try it yet, but I would be very interested to hear your opinions. So if you are interested, please check it out and let me know how it goes...

        I've always meant to get into meditation, for a variety of reasons, but never really knew where to start. I've been exposed a little bit through yoga and martial arts, but never really a dedicated course.

        Thanks for providing this resource, I look forward to starting it

          I've alway meditated, without even knowing I was doing it, or that there was a word for it. It's a basic thing like good nutrition that everyone benefits from...

            I should do it more regularly but since I have Kittens that demand attention a lot I don't have the calmness around me to do it anymore.
            It will return when they are older (hopefully).

            I normally meditate with a candle. I just watch the flame. Image the flame burn inside of me. It fuels my passion and somehow the flame manage to clear my mind and relax the body.

            I have recently started the wicca-meditation as well but that's based on mind focus. It's a lot harder.

            It's all about trying to stay healthy!!!!

              Thanks, Nick. I've signed up. I've attempted meditation b/f but have trouble sitting w/o back support. Also have a very busy monkey mind.

                  Yup. My husband and I meditate, and our son is being integrated into that as well.

                    I meditate to control my large intestine and to sleep, and to slow my pulse when I'm stressed at work.
