    • So excited to fit back into these jeans again I don't even care that my outfit is ruined by this orthopedic boot. The irony is that my vigor in training is what got my ass back in these jeans AND in the boot.

                I hope you heal quickly, moluv. I'm dealing with recovery as well and it is frustrating. But sometimes all we can do it wait for the body to do its thing. And have the patience to not drive ourselves crazy waiting.

                      Well, I am not laid up, but I bit my tongue. I know that sounds really stupid and "Oh, I've bitten my tongue before; that's nothing!" which is what I would normally say. But this time I did it really good. I was eating some homemade beef jerky and I chomped down on the lateral part. I just kinda shrugged it off, but the next day it hurt even worse. And even worse the day after that. It's day 5 now and it's finally starting to heal enough that I can eat some real food. I'd been living off smoothies made of whey protein, bananas, eggs, ice cream, coconut milk, etc. I even made one with kale, potatoes, and coconut milk. Despite all my efforts, I still lost weight (like 7 pounds). I guess it didn't help that I was sick for 3 days before I bit my tongue (fever, achy all over). I'm just ready to start training and eating again like the wild animal that I am :-)

                        I bow to you yodiewan. Thank you for having a sillier injury than my "landed on a pacifier coming out of a headstand". Really. I needed that.

                        When you are feeling better I hope you'll post some pics of your "planche in yoga shorts" attempts so that we may give you the encouragement you need

                          Hahaha, you're welcome. I'm glad I could make you feel less silly by comparison.

                          I know I can always come here for some encouragement ;-) If I had a pullup bar here I would consider posting a weighted pullup pic to solicit encouragement.
