        • absolutely loving this thread -- you women are all giving me such motivation! and guys, well, you're not hurting. can't believe i'm posting these...

          me, last summer, after being strict paleo for about two months, running 5k three days/wk, lifting two, and sprinting one:

          me, now, lax primal, moving slowly at least 5 hours/wk, lifting once, and reminiscing over my last summer's bod...:

          really need to get back to the first picture and improve upon that -- feeling a little down on myself as of late (*cue the violins*). also, please excuse my less than attractive wardrobe selections, i was not planning on posting these pictures for all of MDA to see

            This is my first post, but I wanted to tell you that this picture has really inspired me. I'm almost 150kgs (~330lbs), and I've been stalking the MDA forums to psych myself up to go Primal. It's something I've been flirting with for a while (almost 2 years) but never really had the courage to try. A part of me thinks that (at 26, and 140+kgs) it's too late for me. But between all the older people taking their awesome photos and then this one image...all I can think now is fk it. Just do it! This could be me, with the nice body, having awesome fun doing handstands.

            So, I guess I'm thanking everyone in this thread for inspiring me to JFDI, and you for showing me how much fun I could have.

                Sorry, I have no selfies to post bc I'm just starting and have a major post baby jelly belly.
                Needing some accountability, so here's my stats:
                34yrs old, 5'5"
                CW: 163lbs (07/2014)
                GW: 135lbs or less
                Eating mainly paleo, but including a bit of white rice (don't call the Paleo Police!)

                    Oh my gosh, lsxfox, your life has hardly started! No way is it too late!

                    This is me 2 years ago at age 48 -

                    For the 1st time since I was 24, I'm at a normal weight. And once I found my groove, the losing and the maintaining started to feel completely natural. I didn't even exercise, other than walking, until my weight was in the normal range. You can absolutely have the body and the life you're wishing for.

                    You don't even have to "go Primal". Just start choosing real food that will nourish your body instead of junk that leaves your body crying for something more. Over time, the way you eat and think about food will completely change. Primal is a great guideline for making those choices, though.

                      You look great in both pictures, honestly.

                      I bet if you add back in the sprints and tighten up your diet you'll quickly lean up if that's what you're going for.

                          Nope. I'm 39, started MDA at age 38. If you look at my photos.... there are a couple of me in my 20's looking, uh, already fat and old. So get on it and in a year or two you'll be posting pics of you in panties doing handstands. And you'll be able to post pics of yourself in panties doing handstands at age 40 instead of sitting around taking meds. So get cracking. Never too old to get a fit, healthy body!
