  • Could you recommend a paraben-free "matt clay" hair product?

For whatever reasons--genetics maybe--I have frizzy, borderline afro-like hair, and I'm a white mid-20s male. So I put a bit of mattclay into it and it sorts me out. I use "V05 extreme style mattClay", which sounds uber hipster, but it's the best product for making my hair look normal. It's not greasy, it just "defrizzes" the hair.

Is there anything out there similar to that product which is also free of the dodgy chemicals*?

Starting today I've committed to removing as much of that crap as I can from shampoo, deodorant, and so on.

    Any thoughts/recommendations?

    Cheers!

I have very curly hair and use Dr. Bronners hair creme and my homemade hairspray (one cup filtered water, 8 teaspoons sugar and 8 drops essential oil) The combination of those two along with shampoo/conditioner work for me.
