          The silly thing is a lot of women stick their butts out for photos like that. If they stood up normally/properly, they might not have a "gap".

              It seems to me that different folks are referring to different things when taking about "the thigh gap". Some of which will be governed by physiology (eg. A women's go width, whether her knees naturally touch slightly, knock kneed or bowed at all, and of course the amount of body fat or make present onthe inner thighs.

              I certainly don't want to turn this into a bug legs vsc skinny legs thread, like the thin vs fat women threads we see, where either end of the spectrum is seen as not natural or real etc.

              If you naturally have any type of gap between your thighs and are happy with that, great for you. If you don't and are also happy, then great for you



              But if you've got legs like Lolo Jones and are feeling pressure to diet so they look like the ones below, just so you look good in skinny jeans or think that's what all men want, or that is "what women should look like".. Please don't!

              Thus is what I thought people whet taking about initially, not the extremely skinny intentionally almost wasting of the thighs so that there is a gap all along the thigh.

              And can I just say "kapow!!"? :-)

                  Yeah, I once dated a really skinny guy. His hipbones stuck out, and I kept getting stabbed by them during sex. It was pretty unpleasant.

                    My hipbones are starting to show a bit, but I still have abdominal fat that needs to go.

                      Thats why I posted it -- is this what we are coming to and qualifying as healthy/attractive? I realize everyone swings-differently and some love thin and all that comes w/ it (or doesn't!) and others like rocket booster thighs, which is what I think of when I see that outrageously fit pic above....

                      I, however, second the WHERE ARE THE MEN THIGH PICS?!! =)

                        The 9 Reasons Women Want a Thigh Gap article you posted a link to has a comparison of a normal Nicole Richie vs the anorexic version (our goal). Also, the site is selling an ebook on getting thigh gaps where the author/site owner talks about how women shouldn't get lower body exercise because it builds muscle and destroys thigh gap.

                          Just a nice measly 4 each way . With a safe route, I'd totally be willing to ride farther. I can do at least 12 miles in a trip on fairly level ground, but I haven't done a "how far can I go?" trip in over a month.

                                Yeah. It's a messed up aesthetic.

                                You posted this link on another thread.

                                I'd rate Miss 25% as being the most attractive of the example bodies. Therefore, the hottest women have no thigh gap. Fact.
