  • Weirdest thing you've ever eaten bacon with?

It seems as though it's perfect with just about anything.

Primal almond flour, refined sugar-free (GF/DF) bacon bit brownies were my latest venture.

Pre-primal? In pancakes, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, maple whiskey cupcakes, hard cider apple pie...but I wouldn't say any of them were weird. Mostly freakin' delicious.
Chocolate almond bark with cinnamon and bits of bacon in it and pinches of salt on top would be awesome, and still kinda primal.
Once in a blue moon I'll toss raw almonds in bacon fat and roast 'em, then salt. Yum.

Well, chocolate and bacon are incredible together, so agreed to the 'not weird' statement. Just wondering if anyone has done something really different. Bacon fat is great for searing pork chops in, ;o

        Weird? But . . . But . . . Bacon makes everything better.

Recently had apple pie with bacon crust on top. But that isn't very weird. (I ate the filling but not the lower crust.)

More than once I've made what I call 'turpigon' (a rip on turducken)... Stuff a small ham in the cavity of a turkey, then cover the outside of the bird with strips of bacon, nicely woven together. You have to cover it with foil for the first couple hours of roasting otherwise the bacon cooks too fast, but it's pretty amazing when it's done.

I've ate it with my sister before.

As a kid I used to enjoy grilled bacon, peanut butter, and cheddar cheese sandwiches.

These are not weird per say, but I made Bacos (tacos with bacon as the shell), a whole duck on the grill wrapped in bacon, and I have been thinking about deep frying bacon.

I opened a 2-1/2 pound package of bacon ends and pieces, put the lump on a cookie sheet without breaking it up, and roasted it until it was brown on the outside. That was a fun meal.

Dipped in coconut oil. Also with grilled peaches and bananas on last family bbq (you wouldn't like to see my granny's face)

I was going to say chocolate, but that seems normal based on the responses. I've had it with chocolate syrup on ice cream, also on a chocolate glazed donut during my pre-primal days. I have no idea why it tastes so damn good in desserts, but it does. I'm thinking a banana dipped in chooclate with bacon might taste good, too.
Stumbled into Primal due to food allergies, and subsequent elimination of non-primal foods.
