  • Dry, flaking, craking skin tips?

My skin currently seems to be very dry. The skin on my knuckles and shins in particular is quite raw and cracked. I'm not currently putting anything on it. I am drinking plenty of water. I am also four months pregnant, in case that's relevant.

Does anyone have any tips, preferably systemic, to help deal with this?

Yes, about once a month (husband won't let us have it more often as he doesn't like it as much as I do). Next week is the farmers' market where we can sometimes get delicious venison liver.

        Try this:

A.C. Grace Company, Unique E, Natural Vitamin E Oil, 1 fl oz -

        And eating more gelatin then.

When I started eating more fat my skin got softer and less dry.

Eat more fat- Coconut oil specifically. Drink more water. Use Coconut oil on your skin to moisturize. That is exactly what I did. My skin has never been softer and I have lived my life with chronic dry skin.
The process is simple: Free your mind, and your ass will follow.

you can buy those gloves on-line at the vermont country store. i've used vaseline and coconut oil on my hands at night with minnie mouse gloves.

since i've been eating higher-fat my skin is much less dry, but your localized issues may indicate some kind of intolerance, not "just" dry skin.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

What types of soaps are you using on your body, hair, and clothes? Showering less frequently or in less hot water, reducing the amount/strength of soap you use, and eliminating harsh perfumes in lotions, laundry detergents and dryer sheets can help quite a bit with dry skin.
Using low lectin/nightshade free primal to control autoimmune arthritis. (And lost 50 lbs along the way )

You can eat the liver, your husband doesn't have to. Problem solved!

I didn't notice much help with dry skin once I ate coconut oil, but it helps a lot when I use it topically as a moisturizer.

                        B vitamins.
Shea butter or emu oil for your hands.
And eat liver; your hubby doesn't dictate what YOU eat!
