  • Fasting?

    Hello All,
    I am new to the forum. I have current been trying to follow the Paleo blueprint for about 2 months now. So far so good. I do have a question about fasting. I currently Fast Monday thru Friday. I am not feeling hungry and works with my busy schedule. Is this OK?

    I don't understand...

    Do you mean you do 24-hour fasting for five days straight? Or you do your own fasting schedule (such as 16/8 or 20/4) for those 5 days and don't do any fasting on the weekends?

      I personally have been fasting while at work during weekdays. No food from 8-5. It has worked well, I enjoy dinner more, and am losing weight. I'd say wait until you're fat-adapted to fast, otherwise you get miserable. Otherwise, whatever works! If you lose too much weight, eat more.

        I usually do a 24 hour fast everyday during the weekday. Usually 4pm to 4pm.

          Are you saying you eat once a day? There's a thread about that here somewhere with a lot of good information. I'd try to search for it if I were you.

            So, in essence, you don't eat for 120 straight hours, and you break your fast on the weekends?



            Sounds incredibly extreme to me... unless I'm still misunderstanding you... but if your body can handle it and you're not seeing adverse health effects from it, I suppose it's okay.

            But, still... wow.

              No, I always eat around 4pm daily. I just don't eat from 4-4
