  • I am finally losing weight.

    6'7 248lbs now, male. 32 years old.
    I walk 7 days a week, and do compound lifts 3-5 days.
    I started at 3500 calories, and got fatter
    2600 and maintained.
    2000 and miantained!
    did IF and didnt lose weight.

    Now I'm hitting 1400 calories a day, with 180g protein as a minimum. I'm losing about 2lbs a week so far.

    Go figure that I'd have to dip that low, being as big as I am, to start mobilizing fat.

    Strength hasn't really gone down yet. Will keep adjusting weekly.


    Rarely hungry too. I eat tons of veggies, big chunks of meat. Good stuff.

    Yeah, I need a LOT fewer calories since I have gone Primal. I need to eat around 1000 per day to lose, about 1600 to maintain.

    Folks don't always realize that if they eat more nutrient dense foods their body will be more efficient and needs fewer calories than if they were eating a SAD diet.

      Goal Reached: 30-09-12 @ 143lb. Now bouncing between 145lb - 149lb. I'd like less bounce and more consistency :-)

      Started Cross Fit 20.12.12 ---- Can't wait to submit my success story on the 1st anniversary of starting primal.

          Friends accused me of undereating, but dinner tonight is a solid pound of sirloin steak with a huge side of brussel sprouts. For far less calories and WAY more nutrition than a hamburger.

          That's a damn lot of food!

          A salad with 16oz of chicken and a whole onion, bell pepper, and bunch of green onions takes me 45 minutes to eat. Way more nutritious and satisfying than a sad little fast food chicken sandwich with a side of fries - and still less calories.

            Very true. Most of us primal folk eat less food, but our food is denser and more nutritious. Far more satiating than any processed food. I have to cover my nose and mouth when I walk past fast food joints --- the smell of putrid fats and grease literally makes me queasy.

              Just goes to show everyone is different. I'd have said you're eating too little since that's even less than what I eat, but incredibly it works for you. Good job!
