When people at your work are sick, or friends post about their kids having ANOTHER bout with asthma, do you ever just want to say "CUT THE GRAINS ANd SUGAR?"

How do you refrain?! For me, today, it was coming here to post this!

Nope. After a while, I just stopped caring. I think it's the difference between lions and gazelles.

Cutting the grains and sugar would ultimately likely be beneficial, but probably won't help them recover from a cold immediately. Being sick AND having carb flu? Ugh.

I usually tell people to try high doses of Vitamin D. They give me a funny look and say, "don't you mean vitamin C?" I shake my head and walk away.

Confusing the masses = easier than explaining everything.

Before I cut the grains and sugar I never got sick so I don't know if that's really the answer. The only things I ever think when I'm around sick people is "Why didn't you stay the hell home?", "Please don't touch me", "Please don't cough and sneeze in my presence" and "Where's the hand sanitizer? I need to wash my hands."

I have a tremendous amount of not-giving-fuckery within me and zero sympathy for easily fixable cures. It's like when someone complains about not losing weight while eating a mess of pineapples soaked in honey (true story). I roll my eyes and walk away.

Ahh the benefits of a hearty immune system. I think I'm the only person at my job who doesn't get sick, and it's not even a matter of avoidance.

"Here, try this tea. It'll cure you up so you don't sick me up."
                    "Don't get me sick."
                    (I've said both. Repeatedly.)
I generally don't give shit one about how others eat, so telling them about Primal generally doesn't cross my mind.

For Asthma, I tell them to cut the Tylenol. My son had "viral induced" asthma. But then I heard a report on NPR about Tylenol causing asthma attacks in kids, so I no longer keep it in the house. My son has been sick since, and taken pain reliever, but not Tylenol. He has not had an asthma attack since.

Glucocorticoids are generally considered the most effective treatment available for long term control of asthma.

                        Thanks!

Eh, I still get sick on occasion, primal is not the magic cure-all some people want to make it out to be. Sure, if I never left my house, I'd never get sick again, but I'm in contact with dozens of sick people daily, so I consider getting sick 2-3x/year to be pretty good.

Same here. I get sick less often, but being that I'm around various creatures' poop (human, bird, dog, cat, rodent) and have some of the sickest members of the public breathing on me all day, avoiding illness completely is just a fantasy.
