    • Gwamma your wee Master 4 sounds adorable. Maybe I'll get a grandson one day (not in a hurry lol).

I grew up with sisters, had only daughters, surrounded by nieces with just one nephew (real hunting' shooting' fish in' type haha). Even my cousins were mostly girls, as are most of my music students. I do have a Sunday School class full of full-on boys though, it's a totally different experience.

I'm sure Master 4 will down a real Primal breakfast

      • He is gorgeous Annie. We had the best time.
I have suggested to eldest that praps I could have master 3 this weekend. He has been a wee bit slow with his speech, and is so busy - its tiring, however think that Gwamma would have a nice one on one with a little man. Master 4 will not be happy, however that is the way the cookie crumbles. Gwamma needs to have time with each of her wee men !!!!!!
Busy day in the garden today. Have grown 7 pumpkins, so busy making soup prep for the freezer.
I have also started a basic machiine sewn quilt.......... I love being creative !!!!!

        • Congrats on the pumpkins, I love them and really wish I had grown some. But they're not expensive to buy which is lucky for me. It will be great to have soup in the freezer. I do a couple of variations on oven-baked pumpkin too. Not to good chunks in with a roast meal.

What colours are in your quilt? I thought you were more into the knitted and crochet kind? Sewing is good too though, anything to get the creative juices flowing.

As for your little grand babies, they do indeed grow so fast and I think it's a great idea to have them separately, you get to relate to each one as an individual. (Not that I have any grandchildren yet, but all in good time...)

          • not much of a sewing girl myself Annie, however I try and buy a little material badge wherever I go. It drives DH INSANE !!!!!!!
anyway I have quite a collection and need to get them onto a blanket. I have decided to machine quilt them and make a throw for one of the couches. It will hopefully be a great talking point !!!!!
One day I would like to learn how to quilt properly. I am hoping Bagergirl will hold a few skype classes.

Ask Doc, he's the pro. I'm just an idiot with a needle and thread.
I like badgers, books and booze, more or less in that order.

So many *rude* replies. I shall restrain myself and say, merely, that you follow them well.

Hy G! Good luck with the quilting! Have you figured out what pattern you want to make? There are a bazillion patterns out there, many of which are on the interwebs. This is a pretty good one, with lots of info to be had:

I have actually joined a patchwork beginners group. So I will learn how to properly quilt, but my wee round the world quilt will just be a basic square on square. I am so wanting to start up our skype bitch'n'stitch group

                              • Hi guys,
Well another busy wee week here on the wet windy frosty plains !!!!!!
SIL rushed into hospital yesterday.....ended up having pylonephritus (not spelt properly - sorry)
Eldest stayed at mine last night and had a wee check up yesterday, protein andblood in the urine, she is now 28 weeks.......
And then i got the txt early this morning from middle. Getting the cows in at 4am, quietly meandering through the paddock, motorbike hits hidden branch, middle comes off, twists ankle quite badly, ankle size of football, Gwamma takes her to A n E (thats a two hour trip to pick her up and get her there), xray shows two little floating bone fragments !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then eldest, who is still at mine, loses it with her youngest, so I met her on the road and have bought little master 3 home to mine.........it never rains at mine - it bloody pours !!!!!!!!!
