Ha ha was just thinking the same thing. Gotta be up extra early to walk the dogs before the long commute. Should be getting the back garden fully fenced next week, so won't have to worry about the monsters trying to eat the neighbours kune kunes. My boy spotted them for the first time this evening and went all kinds of silly, no chance of him listening to anything once he got a sniff of them.

      G'night girls

        • Oh Misabi- I love kunes. Our big girl was called Priscilla petunia. She was such a character. When we sold our farm and moved to Rotherham she was constantly out on the main road. We had to give her away sadly. Just imagine hitting a 200kg kunekune pig at 70 km an hour!!!!!!

Lol bed for hunting anything from rabbits to deer and Japanese bears apparently.

I honestly don't know what they'd do, actually attack or just bale them up. The kill birds fairly often and have "played with" a couple of cats to death.

If only they'd get rid of the evidence, but they aren't interested in eating their kill. They know their dinner comes out of the big cold white box in the laundry

                  • And yep, they'll demolish half a piss head each in about 30 mins. All that's left is the teeth/jaw and brain bowl

ah the general purpose old hunting breeds. like mine =) they will find anything which can get very annoying when your fancy pants hell expensive full south island hunting lines V is snorting like a warthog and cavorting around like a maniac on a short lead whilst our walking when we hit the bit where the rabbits all play LOL wierdly he shows not much interest in chasing them when he actual spots one which is good tho. i did see a non flying bird last week that went into a clump of grass so i sent him to see what he would do and he indicated. they definitely dont kill things but they are very capable of running anything ragged which is where he could be dodgy with sheep.

                      • Good afternoon all
Funny old day down on the farm.......let.
Wind, rain, cold which of course promotes laziness, hunger and a weeny bit more laziness in this old girl.
Managed to tidy up the play money from the lions casino night. I was only dealing with a trillion million- so not too taxing !!!!!!!!
Off round the road to check a friends wee lamb. We gave it Abs on Sunday for a lung infection, so I shall see if it needs another wee dose.
But apart from that - nothin happening.
Our youngest daughter tried for the airforce when we got back from America, but missed that intake by two questions. Her fitness etc.....were all excellent, but she cannot resit for 6 months. So in them interrum she has been studying her PPL at Canterbury aero club. She has passed all her six exam so far with 90% through to 96%. Feeling really proud. She hopefully starts flying next week, so fun and games ahead !!!!!!
Middle DD was all set to compete in the rodeo this labour weekend, but the horse reared last week, and dropped back down on top of her. Thankfully she only had some ligament damage and a HUGE haematoma (spelt incorrectly). She is still a bit tender in places that you do not need to know about, so sitting, trotting, cantering and galloping in a saddle -not such a great idea.

                        • looks like it is all go up your way G. i just got back from town. went to see the nice relaxing massage man. he was gentle so i didnt come out feeling like i'd done a few round with mike tyson and lost. and i feel way better already. i am still having my love affair with molasses and i even ate a raw carrot on the way home. starting to feel like an old horse LOL in other news, i made some paleo rewana!!! and it tastes good. i made it for the kids as they like bread. i got given a few generations old rewana starter by one of the chicks i weave with when i saw her the other day and i converted it to GF flour. then i made bread with 1/2c coconut flour and then roughly 2 parts rice to 1 part tapioca, lots of salt, some brown sugar ( oops not so paleo but i didnt have any honey or molasses left ) and an egg and enough water to make a thick batter. i did the sponge thing first with the coconut flour, the starter and some of the rice and tapioca and left it to rise overnight. then i added everything else and put it in a bread tin and left it most of the day to re-rise and then i baked it. i am going to experiment some more now i have worked out the flavour is fine.

                          • Well, hell, Gwamma - DD really wants to be in the Air Force, and to be sooooo close - supremely glad she can retake the test, and here is hoping that the second time is the charm!!

For the horse-smooshed DD: homeopathic "arnica Montana", in tablet and gel form. My girls get banged up on a regular basis, and this really, really helps. The very best is when you take and apply liberally right after the injury for a day or two, but it still helps later on.

                            Hugs!
