  • Thats great that you're getting some improvement, hopefully it will continue well then. I suppose looking at it from this distance (LOL) its harder for us to *see* those things. Sounds like its progressing in the right direction though - yay.

    • yes i am stubborn but i am not an idiot LOL my line in the sand is gradual improvement. and it is a trade off. i am sure if i sat on my ass, it would be better by now but i need to move. so as long as it isnt getting worse, and it is progressing slowly, i am all good. i can rotate the whole ankle in all directions now. so i have full ROM with just a dull ache on the nasty bits. i prob still cant lunge or squat anything heavy. i am gonna go for a ride on the hog after lunch which last time helped free it up a bit as it is my gear change foot.

      • Seas - I haven't done a heap of CC due to busy busy busy - but I am planning on a wee session this arvo.
Sounds like the ankle is SLOWLY healing - enjoy your ride on the hog !!!!!!
LL don't stress about the other thread. It is so hard to put thoughts into words sometimes, and some people just don't get it !!!!!! Also some people like to have the final say - so I just let them. - However I will pop over later and have a wee read ............
I would find it incredibly hard to leave any of our pets - even thou they aren't mine - as such. You get used to having them around. Great that you have found somewhere for them thou LL - its a step closer................. very exciting !!!!!!!

        • i have just been clubbelling. i found a you-tube of how to do it properly. he talks about the shoulder cast being a lat exercise which makes complete sense. and how to get the clubbells into back position correctly. it also shows the movement from different angles. i am gonna read the body by you book in bed tonight as i so need an early night. then gym it tomorrow and formulate a plan. am feeling twitchy as the sun is out and it is a weds so i am off for trip #2 around the block for lunch. then i will come home. do a bit more work and go for a ride on the way to get the kids from school.
did the CC stuff you did give you any DOMS G? and typically how much time would you do per day/per week on it according to the book?

delayed-onset muscle soreness (often a side effect of having seen a dominatrix, as it happens)

              • i do avoid dominatrixes but they do get to wear some very nice clothing. i could def do the gear but not so sure about beating grovelling men. even if they were to pay me a big pile of money LOL for another laugh, this cracked me up
                Dutch chips offer cannabis mayonnaise
it's only flavoured tho but i do have fond memories of chips and mayonnaise when i was in the netherlands. made the 2nd trip around the block. i think the stabbing pain is prob some kind of adhesions or something as it was down to a dull ache. i could do the whole way on my usual track thru the gravel which is massive progress.

LOL - it's from a South Park episode.

LL, I'm with Gwamma - some folks like to argue as much as they like breathing. But a good rant is often just the thing to calm down.

                  • I absolutely hate arguments for the sake of arguments - however i think that sometimes a nice critique is well worth its weight in gold....................... I think that we all know the ones that are worthy !!!!!!!!
I popped into the supermarket thread earlier, and it got me thinking ......................yesterday I did a food shop in a supermarket in CHCH, and I am not sure how, why or what, but myself and the checkout lady and the packing your groceries lady (you will now be able to identify which supermarket.....) were discusing how cold it was, which led to fires, which led to the checkout lady saying
and I quote " I know the best way to light a fire EVER !"
and I said, being the socially polite, talk just for the sake of talking, sort of a girl...................."how"?
and she said, and you are gonna be as gobsmaked as me................... " diesel" !!!!!
                    WHAT ! said I ?????????
I use diesel to light my fire. I couldn't believe what I was hearing........she went on to explain that in her living room was a fire, and to get it lit each night she would sprinkle a bit of diesel onto the wood and paper and then wwwwooooooffff.
She then went onto to tell me that her children really appreciated a warm fire, and she has only blown the top of the chimney off once.....WTF..........
I actually couldn't believe what I was hearing, and after advising her to buy some little lucifer fire starters instead, I exited said shop - thinking why the hell would someone do that, AND TELL A COMPLETE STRANGER ABOUT IT !!!!!!!!!!

Almost 330am, and I'm laughing like an idiot at that story. Hope I didn't wake the neighbor. LOL
