                I heard that! LOL.

Hi hi everyone. Not a lot happening. Mardi Gras is upon us. Parades, many drunks. Makes me feel like the air traffic controller in the movie Airplane! I picked the wrong week to quit drinking. Just thinking about that movie cracks me up.

Anyway, a few days off, then more parades, then the Superbowl, then more parades. Anyone serving food and/or drinks is raking it in right now fersure.

                Hoping you are all well.

                • i think i can live without having that wonderful shark story to tell and becoming legendary thankyou! i do know men who tell me wonderful stories of jumping out of boats to go diving and landing on sharks. there is also a particularly legendary story of a seal which they found bitten in half under the water on the bottom of the ocean still bleeding and convulsing right by one of our local paua spots. i know both the people who found it and they both told me the same story so i think it is prob accurate. it is not my fave spot at all there. i got stalked by a seal last time i went and i dont like them at all. even if they are preferable to sharks LOL

Mardi gras - now theres a thought, lots of colour, lots of noise, lots of drinking - FUN FUN FUN... and I so think that you need to change your drinking end date !!!!!! LOL, just to take in one more wee tiny week of fun !!!!!

Watch those seals Seas - I have heard stories of pulling divers down deep !!!!!!

                    • i am prob still safer with the seals statistically than on the roads around here with the tourists which is my story and i am sticking to it. i dont know anyone who has had too many dramas with seals. maybe leopard seals but we dont get many here.

                      • Gwamma, you may be right. Although...

Last year at one of the parades, there was the cutest young woman (spectator) dressed like a fairy. She was with a group of about six or seven folks. Pre-parade: she's adorable. During parade: she's getting hammered, dancing suggestively. Right near the end of the parade: one of the guys in her group tossed her over his shoulder and walked away. He must have caught her just before she passed out, because she wasn't even struggling. hahaha

Aaanyway, I don't hang out with any strong college studs that could carry me home. (Maybe I should put that on my list of 52 new things to try this year?)

                            • lmao G. what is your definition of moshing? i am more excited as i got KINA!!! screw the black slugs, even if i got some of them too. but KINA. my fave. with all this talk of seals and sharks, i did see a big nasty eel slithering out of a hole at me. i told the kids that i'd seen it and they ran out the water like i do when someone yells shark LMAO it was time to go home anyways as the strap on the diving kete was giving out from all the plunder. def a good hunting activity when you are real wired. so funny coz you can hear yourself breathing thru the snorkel like they do on those horror movies when they are looking for stuff. and you get to carry the huge ass diving knife. mine is a US navy seal one that could easily double for a pig sticker and it has a serrated part on the back edge to cut yourself out of nets. it was truly beautiful out there tho. the water was warm. there was a forest of sea tulips and seaweed. i saw moki and green bone. little fish. sea slugs. the kids saw a sea horse. all sorts of sea anemones. duckbilled limpets everywhere. oysters. cockles. mussels. and the eel LOL
