  • A man with female body shape. Can I fix it?

    Dear all,

    This is my first time posting here.

    Here's my problem.

    I'm an Asian man with a medium height and a narrow shoulder.
    But I have such a big hip and thighs and they are easily noticeable.
    My friends often make fun of my big butt.

    So I tried to go for weight training to build a broader shoulder.

    It worked quite well. I believe I look a lot better in slim-fit clothes than before.

    But I still hate my body when I get naked.
    My body looks like women with an hourglass shape.

    It seems that my rib didn't get bigger together with my shoulder.
    So now, I have a broad shoulder, a small waist and a big butt.
    (if you wonder what it looks like, try searching hourglass shape in google image)

    So if any of you happened to know how to fix my figure, please help.

    Use the "Squats and milk"(can substitute extra calories for milk). Then switch to starting strength.

    Cut out soy, hops, and anything else in your diet that is estrogenic.

    Eat red meat, eggs, starch and veggies with plenty of saturated fat. Get plenty of sleep.

      I agree--lots of lower body and core work--also see "You are Your Own Gym" for some suggestions for bodyweight exercises which can be done anywhere. Prepare to be sore and good luck!

        I have a similar body type (also asian fwiw). You can't really change much about it. Embrace it and wow everyone with the big numbers you can squat and deadlift.

            You may not want to hear this, but you can't change your pelvis. It's position, shape, all will stay... My recommendation is to build muscle in your legs, abs, good luck
