  • Tragically hilarious

I don't feel good making light of other's misfortune, but the irony is too delicious to pass up...

    From the article:
Well, this was bound to happen. While eating a 6,000-calorie Triple Bypass Burger at the Las Vegas franchise of The Heart Attack Grill Saturday, a man you guessed it suffered a heart attack.

Man Suffers Heart Attack While Eating at Heart Attack Grill

I find it refreshing when a company delivers what they advertise.

Sitting down to eat 6,000 calories is not a particularly good idea but all of the coverage is talking about "artery clogging fat" which is a reporter's opinion, not a researched fact in this instance. The sign says people over 350#'s eat free, I don't know how he stays in business in this country.

IDK~ I think Heart Attack Grill should sue him~ I mean, going in there, knowing he was at risk, throwing all caution to the wind, ignoring his doctors, CW and all that stuff~ But then, they say bad press is better than no press at all

Local coverage of the story (I live here). Heart Attack Grill nearly lives up to its name - News - ReviewJournal.com

I have to give the restaurant owner credit - he stated "If this had happened at Olive Garden, nobody would care. People have heart attacks in restaurants every day." True.

We have a local population that isn't all that healthy anyway (obesity and chain smoking), and then you add in tourists whose idea of a good time EVERY vacation is to sit in a dark casino for 5 days straight and eat 20 meals at the all-you-can-eat buffet, so it's no surprise something like this happens. It wasn't because of this one meal.
