  • Watched my son compete in a Tough Mudder today

If you haven't seen a Tough Mudder event, boy have you missed something Primal!!!

Tough Mudder - Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet

I am COMPLETELY ready to compete in a shorter, gentler version of this. They have 5K runs with other names, too.

    Very very awesome.

If I start training now, I can be ready by the autumn events, I think.

One of my goals is to do the Mud Run with my co-workers! I can't wait...talk about age regression!

Look for Warrior Dash. Similar, about 5k in length. They have one in the St. Louis area in October. At least they did last year.... Was a blast and plenty of people were walking, not running.
Trying a journal. We'll see how long that lasts....

I want to do the tough mudder in colorado in June. I think.

I really should just sign up for it and make it happen!

I'm planning on doing a Tough Mudder in Aug of 2013, Toronto. I really do not think I'd be ready to do it this year. I can't even do ONE push-up, or pull-up. I can do a modified/woman's push-up, all of five of them before my muscles clonk out and I'm face flat on the floor. Yeah.
But I'm going to do a Tough Mudder! I AM!

+1 on the warrior dash, and take a look at the spartan race sprint distance (5k) mud run too. it's a lot harder, but a ton more fun than the warrior dash.

Delaware has Mud Run in September. My niece has done it twice.

Just finished my first Warrior Dash in Florida a week ago. You can most certainly walk it and don't have to be in great condition at all. I LOVED it but have to admit, it totally kicked my ass!

Someone on another board planted the seed in my head for the Spartan Sprint because it's a shorter course...perhaps more for someone with as out of shape as I am.

I'm doing the Melbourne tough mudder in March. The normal course length is 15km but for some reason ours is 20km. No idea if I'll finish but I'll give it a go. I can run 15km ok and do boot camp so hopefully all will be well.

Thanks, I think I will try the Warrior Dash first, or perhaps the Spartan Race.

Thank you so much for the reminder! I just subscribed to the first Tough Mudder in my country (The Netherlands) in 2013.
                            Hell Yeah!

Did the Tough Mudder VA last October, and it was a blast! If you aren't in the best shape there are pretty much always people around to help you. The only obstacle I failed at was the balance beam.

And to prove that fat burning works, I went in fasted and did not partake of the snacks along the course.
