Can you? A real bloodcurdling, rafter echoing scream? Like a 3 year old can do? Like your life depends on this scream?

Testing with my grandchildren~ yes, I still can! I even shocked myself!

    BTW~ very therapeutic!!!

I think that's supposed to be a common nightmare - that you can't scream.

Personally, I'm not sure, but I know I can swear enough to scare of anything that might be thinking about chasing me. Happens all the time at work.

      Man, I love my job...

If frightened or shocked from behind, I've been known to let out a blood curdling, "there's a rapist here RIGHT NOW!" screech. Generally, those screeches are accompanied by either a reach for my knife or a kick to the groin of whatever's behind me..
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Sometimes I let out some yoohoos while accelerating in my car. Does that count?

A "family scream" is fun, too! We were once so loud that a neighbour called the police .... it was rather difficult to explain ...

Last time I screamed, it was because a car I was getting into began to drive away with only part of me in it. It was impressive, but I haven't screamed since. But now I want to. Seems like fun - and great stress reliever.

                        Screaming/yelling/roaring is FUN!!
I do it at least once a day. I think, where I live, the people have become accustomed to "strange sounds" coming from my home.
When my kids were young (2-5), instead of screaming, I'd sing The Ants Go Marching VERY LOUDLY!! And stomp my feet at the same time. That way I could get the SOUND out and not scare my kids, nor worry my neighbours.
Now, they're older, it's just lung-emptying yells. And then I'm fine!
