  • Outdoors in January!

We have had a very strange winter this year, and I'm delighted, since I've taken to spending time in the sun whenever I can! Yesterday, it got above 50 in the Midwest, and I sat out in the deck in the sun...

After it started cooling off as the sun began to sink into a cloud bank, we made a fire in the chiminea and sat out there till 7 pm...gorgeous.

I've got my lizard light for cloudy days, but this is MARVELOUS.

Goals: Feel good, be stronger, and hopefully kick that arthritis in the backside! Oh, yeah, and losing more weight would be okay, too.

Same here! Yesterday was a bit cloudy, but Saturday was sunny and mid 50's, maybe even 60 briefly. It has been a lovely "winter" thus far.

Oh dear, sorry about the extreme cold, Ang. Last year we'd had a LOT of snow by now. We're going to be hurting if we don't get more moisture, but it's hard to complain when you're sketching barefoot in the sun!

Sounds like here. We got a freak inch of snow today with a 10 degree overnight low tonight, back to 30 tomorrow, 57 by Thursday...

I'm starting to buy into this global warming thing!

I'm in Chicago, and I'm finding this winter to be the easiest I've had (so far) in 11 years in the midwest. I think one thing that is really helping is taking 5,000iu vitamin D daily!! Also, my little dog LOVES the snow, and watching him seem so happy in it makes me tolerate it better.
