I have been using olive oil for everything (face, body, legs) for about two years. While I did need to adjust at first and just use a tiny bit, it didn't take long for my skin to adjust. I have super sensitive easily reddened skin and it works like a charm.

My recipe: Clear aloe vera gel mixed with a little bit of avocado, macadamia and/or jojoba oil, with a few drops of lavender and clary sage essential oil and a couple of drops of glycerine. If you want to get all designer-label fancy, buy something like squalene online to add to the mix or choose different essential oils (neroli is another good one that smells HEAVENLY).

Just make sure you get the aloe vera gel, not the juice (you can get natural versions of this).

Here's the link to Tropical Traditions products. If you "like" them on FB, you get daily specials and sales that are pretty good -- 50% off, buy one get one free, etc. on everything from grassfed beef to deodorant. I personally have not used the creams and lotions, but everything I've purchased from the site has been superior quality. Next time I see the lotions go on sale, I'm going to try them.

Lots of other really good ideas on here too. I've been using a handmade lavender "anti aging" lotion that I got from a lavender farm in Harrisonburg, Va. I actually love it, but I do need to explore other options too. I'm enjoying all the suggestions here.

I'm thinking about going no soap aswell.
I haven't used a deodorant in a few weeks and I'm feeling great, my arm-pit skin isn't dry anymore, no smell.
I've got some acne and my skin gets red easily.
I'm not sure how I feel about rubbing oil on my face (kinda scared actually)

                I use organic rosehip oil.
I use it on damp face and hands to help absorption. 3 drops in the mornings and 4 drops at night. My mineral makeup goes on smoothly over this and it is not greasy at all.
My skin has never looked or felt better.
The oil is not expensive and lasts a long time.

Also wanted to add my teenage son uses this oil too, and his acne has totally cleared up.
