My work desk has been modifed so that the mouse and keyboard are now on the same stand( I built another stand that is the same height as the stand for mouse)....live and learn. I have a nifty device that lowers/raises keyboard
thanks kenn!....also one note, I have noticed my ankles have swelled up something fierce.....they do not hurt at all, hell I was sprinting the other day. It is probably safe to say they swelled from standing all day....i shall continue to stand and be proud
Does anyone know how long it takes before your ankles stop swelling from being on your feet all day? I am always on my feet at work, I don't have a desk haha. My ankles are always swollen and sometimes they hurt, less now then when I first started the job back in Nov. I know that standing is more natural, but so far it is not at all comfortable. I am also standing on tile layered over concrete, would that make a difference?
I want sit/stand desk too but still haven't figured out how to get my employer to give me one.
I just built mine, went over to Lowes and had them cut the wood up as well. My @ home desk cost me 30 bucks, at work 20 bucks. At work if I get tired of standing, converting to a sitting position only takes me 1 minute.
My husband did that as his work. He just bought some stuff at Ikea for it. They have varying size desktops and screw on legs. Of course they have full-height cube walls. I don't. If I did that, I'd be looking into my coworkers' cubes. I don't think they'd like that so much. At home, we have a computer mounted to the treadmill, though.
