  • weight loss goal rewards

does anyone reward themselves for reaching weight loss goals? for instance im thinking of rewarding myself when i reach 50lbs lost. havent decided what its going to be yet, probably something fitness/exercise related

i know when i reach my overall goal i am going to get a tattoo. something to comemmorate the weight loss and help remind me thati wont be going back! cheezy as it sounds i might even do a caveman lol just havent decided yet

anyways anyone else do things like this?

    well i have gain rewards...

    hair cut
oil hand soaking(the warm oil wax stuff)
    eye brow wax
    toes/nails done
a food i want but never buy due to $$ (fresh salmon/redfish/lamb chop) or i go 'all out' at the farmers market on some of the yummy pricier stuff

all the above i usually make myself do, like eyebrows, cutting my hair, skin care so its a big thing for me to get something 'done' to myself by someone else.

I like to discourage tattoos whenever possible. Instead of a permanent mark on your body to commemorate the fact that you lost 50 pounds, why not just show off your slimmer body?

When I hit goal, it'll be a tattoo. I want a rather large back piece that'll be for my daughters and will tell a story throw symbolism. At my next weigh in, if I show to be at 200 lbs or under, I'll either get a pedi or an eyebrow wax.

I'd say if you're wanting a tattoo, get something that is important to you and has symbolism. This is why I want one for my daughters. I don't like tattoos of peoples names. Kiss of death IMO.

I don't have a specific weight-loss goal as I don't know what my "ideal" weight would be. I know I could get down to 165# (5'-11") during rugby season but I don't know what that would be with added muscle from the primal lifestyle.

Eventually, though, I may get a Grok tattoo!

When I reach my goal weight / fitness (aim is Jan 10, 2012) I'm gonna spend the day in my now-way-to-small Bruschi Patriots jersey and watch the Pats go to the Superbowl

For me, the goal itself is the reward, but if it works, excellent!

Smaller clothes are also a good reward or going around nekkid more often.

For now, I've been busy buying new smaller clothes ... mini goals?

There is a tattoo in my future, but it's going to be for my 50th birthday. If I'm at goal weight by then it'll be a 2-fer!

                              Ditto, hahaha

I'm buying new clothes, but I'll have to do that anyway. I'm going to reward myself with a boob job. (not fakes, I have plenty of boobage. They just need a lift.) My husband has already ok'd it. haha
