  • Is this normal? Probably not.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my reduction and subsequent elimination of grains (only 3 days now), but I cannot sit still at my desk. I feel like a crazy person.

It's like I'm restless or antsy or I have too much energy. It's so frustrating that I want to fight somebody.

I've even stopped drinking coffee because it's too much.

    Not helping my desk job

It sounds to me like you are consuming the nutrients your body was not being allowed prior to going grain free.
Because grain has a lot of antinutrients your body was being destroyed inside out.
With the elimination of grains your body is actually absorbing the nutrients.

I also feel the same way. I think we are supposed to feel that way. It's called having energy. Makes you want to explode and climb up trees while screaming, right? Or maybe sprint through the forest chasing prey? Your new trick, now that you won't be dragging your butt behind you, is to figure out the best ways to channel your energy. Primal fitness does that for me. Sprints, lifting heavy things, etc.

When there's nobody else in the elevator, I often try to climb the walls and usually run in circles.

I have a lot more energy too. The apartment is much cleaner because of it, lol!

Have you tried working out at lunch to release a little extra energy? My husband works with a guy who uses 60 of hos 90 minutes for lunch walking around the parking lot to get his exercise. Then, he's still got 30 minutes to eat. (Yes, all the guys at hubby's work have been there so long, they're allowed 90 minute lunches. Salaried.)

I know exactly what you mean! It is so frustrating to be feeling all fit and bouncy in the morning (almost bursting out of your skin with energy) and then have to come slamming to a halt when you get to work. I work in a small office with a boss who discourages talking too much. It's very stifling.

I think I'll try going for walks at lunch, as soon as it gets a little less scorching outside in the middle of the day.

Good luck to you, don't give up, just channel it elsewhere!
