  • Serious question for this serious thread.

Single fellas, do any of you see yourselves getting married and having kids? I love kids but I can't see myself being with the same woman for the rest of my life.

    • I have a question that's not so serious. Guys, have you ever tried to invite yourself over to the girl's place for a second date? (/just when it seems kind early) why would anyone do that??

/when in the dating process do you find it appropriate to start going over to each other's places?

I'm a little wary of letting dudes who I've only talked to once or twice before in my life into my apartment... btw I don't mean just to like stop by for a bit. I mean when they actually volunteer your place as the location of the second date, lol. It's like your friends telling you, 'Come to our party this weekend! btw it's gonna be at your place!'

I felt the same until i wanted to reproduce. The whole mommy-daddy partnership makes it worth while. I know I'm not a single guy, so for penance i post

Hypothetically, I would just offer to cook you dinner.

Because women own too many damn shoes so this thread will reach 3K comments about shoes (I'm just guessing here).

I went to a friend's wedding reception and met a girl I hadn't seen since high school. I barely said two words to her in school but we hit it off. Then the party dispersed and I thought, "What have I got to lose?" I invited myself over, and it went fantastically.

I love kids, too, and I am in education. But I can't see myself married with kids for a couple of reasons. One, when I spend all day working with kids,
I need to come home to a quiet home where I can pursue my other interests in peace and quiet and utter freedom. Two, all the marriages in my social circles are either unhappy, volatile or outright broken. That's not counting all the divorced people I know. Not too appealing.
You lousy kids! Get off my savannah!

I don't even like shoes. Flip-flops are the only shoes I find necessary.
