Have you adjusted your diet to a primal diet?
What are you eating, and how much?
How old are you? What sex?
What activities are you doing at the gym?
    Do you do any sprinting?

We can't answer your questions without more info.

Exercise doesn't *make* you lose weight. No matter what people tell you, you can't hit your goal with just exercise. You have to monitor what you stick in your piehole. You can exercise until you die and if you don't change how you eat (if you eat "normally") you will not see the results you are after.

Exercise is, at best, 20% of the equation. Diet is the other 80%. So yes, you are fooling yourself.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

I subscribe to the idea that diet determines your size, exercise determines your shape. That being said, being active will help you acheive your goals, building muscle etc. Just don't become a cardio slave, thinking that you're burning calories to loose weight!

Oooh...I love this! Primal eating has definitely made me small, but my shape could still use a little work I think you just told me why!

You diet to look good with your clothes on.
You exercise to look good naked.

                    Excellent!

                    Now, Bellie...

Take your scale and throw it in the nearest river ... The Cam, Fyfe, Avon, Thames ...??????? That's where it belongs.

Choose your worst body measurement that you hate the most, for example, hips, chest, waist, spare tyre/tire. Pick a coloured ribbon (think sewing) and wrap that ribbon around that one spot then cut it to exactly that length. Find ribbons of different colours each varying by 1 inch less in length. For example, Red ribbon is the starting measurement, pink ribbon is 1 inch less, lilac ribbon is one inch less then that etc. Aim to get to the next ribbon for that body measurement. Aim for the colours that you find inspiring/beautiful and get them to fit your worst measurement. Why go to such lengths (pardon the pun) instead of using a measuring tape? Simple. I hate measuring tapes. They're so ... clinical.

And ... if you're getting smaller ribbons to fit your worst measurement, you are losing FAT.

                    Best of Luck
