  • Coconut milk: the reason we outlive Africans (it's in french)

A really bad article I stumbled upon in the local newspaper.

For the non-french speakers here, here's her main point: coconut milk is full of saturated fat, and that's bad for you (the usual CW dumbness). However, it gets better. She says many African countries use coconut milk in their traditional cuisine and it's probably really bad for them because our life expectancy is sometimes twice as long as theirs. Yep, she basically claims the reason Swaziland (or any of the 20 or so African countries on the bottom of the list of world countries' average life expectancy) has an average life expectancy of 31 years isn't because of war, diseases (aids, malaria, ...), famine, lack of drinkable water, poverty or any logical reason someone who can out-think a rock could find in five seconds, it's because of COCONUT MILK!

Coconut milk consumers, you should live in fear.

Good lord. Did she even bother to quickly google leading causes of death? I just googled for Swaziland and heart disease didn't make the top 10. Drowning and lightning did.

I know! Coconut milk turns your body into iron making you prone to sinking and attractive to lightning. It's science bitches!

First rule of not being dumb: whatever fanciful bs you belief, look at the world around you and see if there is any evidence to falsify it. I mean...France. French Paradox? *dies*

I may write like I'm agitated but I actually became stoical to this stuff long ago. It is just more fun with emphasis.

Sacret bleu, c'est un idée stupide.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.
