He was one of the best to ever pick up a guitar. It's a shame how his life ended: quit using drugs, start making some of his best music, and then died in a freak helicopter crash. It's always a good day when Texas Flood comes on the radio.
Yeah, Cd.n't tand the Weather was the first one I bought. I was pretty excited when I first heard (after a drought IMO-no pun intended) it and saddened when i heard he had died. The fact that he had cleaned himself up only adds to it. He had something pretty uniquely his.
Maybe not what you're referring to, or is it? Still good. A co-worker mentioned to me watching JB at a rather small venue and besides being fantastic, he was a nice guy sitting with and talking to them after the concert.
They had a sound and a niche for sure. I first heard them as Free. I still remember a friend bringing the album over to listen to. We were cool! A few years later a girl i knew wd. play Bad Company when I visited her. She was a lovely girl and i was an idiot and I will leave it at that.I've thot of her in the middle of the night .She moved to Columbia MO, her last year of HS.Never heard from her again. I still think of her....
