I recently read that teenagers are getting high by snorting nutmeg.

I don't think I've ever had nutmeg. It's a spice right? I think I saw it on my gf's spice cabinet.
I used to seriously post here, now I prefer to troll.

probably eating it, not snorting it. apparently (i have no personal experience with this) whole nutmegs can cause hallucination. nutmeg is a strong spice, so you generally use only a 1/2 tsp or less in a pie (so you're eating just a tiny pinch in your slice of pie vs. over 1 tsp if you eat the whole nutmeg). a whole nutmeg will retain significantly more of its oil as well.

it's not uncommon for common herbs and spices to have medicinal qualities in higher doses. for example high doses of basil can potentially case miscarriage, medicinal amounts of sage or mint can cause a drop in breastmilk supply. fennel and fenugreek can increase milk supply. most herbs haven't been adequately studied to prove that they are effective medicines, but that doesn't disprove that they effective.

Anything can be contaminated by handlers. I bet that even a skinning knife with a leather ring handle, for an odd example could be contaminated with salmonella if the person who assembled it, or packaged it, was playing with some bad chicken or egg salad or whatever.

Nutmeg is good. Nutmeg is fine. A daily drink is 8 oz. of coconut milk with nutmeg and usually cinnamon as well. By the way, it is rumored that both of those spices help men stay interested and "interesting", for those so inclined.

I enjoy nutmeg or cinnamon in my coffee, does that make me a cannibal?
