  • Found a reason for my plateauing

I am pregnant!!! Yup my first primal pregnancy, here we go. I can't believe how quickly my body responded on PB with the PCOS issues. It is amazing. Wish me luck, so far I feel sick. I am into my 6th week and just found out last night.

Any help from seasoned primal preggos would be much helpful. Last 2 pregnancies I gave into all sorts of crazy cravings. I am not sure how this one will go. I am hoping the cravings will be good cravings rather than crap.

Congrats! All three of my babies are South Beach Diet babies. I got pregnant with each of them about 3 weeks after starting SBD (cutting out carbs obviously helped - I have PCOS and IR too).

Since then I have NOT been able to stick to any low carb plan for more than a few days. I think you just helped me figure out why... 3 kids in 3 years (when I thought I was barren and would never have a child naturally) has done enough to scar me, so subconsciously, I cannot bring myself to follow PB because I am afraid of the consequences... :-)!

Zone diet on and off for several years....worked, but too much focus on exact meal composition

Wow, congratulations. You're right that's not the first cause for a plateau that normally comes to mind.

Darn! Here I was looking for a quick fix for my plateau! 9 months of pregnancy, 20+ hours of labor and delivery, 18 years of child rearing and 4 years of college is not quite the fix I was looking for. Been there, done that 3 times...

                          Congratulations!

HEY! Congrats, Chica! No advice here, but plenty of congrats!
