  • Does this make sense to you?

I work in a jail and we have inmates who require a special diet for diabetes. The special diet tray consists of some kind of meat, normally a burger or chicken patty. White bread, white pasta or white potato, and then a good vegetable such as green beans. I've questioned why diabetics are receiving bread, pasta, and potatoes. Nobody can tell me why. I've taken these guys to get their blood sugar checked and many of them are high. This just bugs me!
    Insert whitty diet remark here!

Presumably the jail is a government organisation and follows the recommended food pyramid or some other government policy. If its anything like what the schools in the US follow as shown on that Jamie Oliver show - so much care to fit the criteria, yet such crappy food - it is not surprising. Can't see the wood for the trees.

Plus, the usual answer - CW.
