i did not think wheat would make my stomach hurt this bad.
it doesn't even hurt that bad, but it is a bitch...
second time in two weeks i've had wheat (both times as my only 'treat' for the week)
but damn. not worth it. not at all.

    Jason,
OK, I Give... What exactly did you eat and how much do you weigh? ( Before & After)

Was it a full carton of Moon Pies?

    A crate of Twinkies?

    An Entire HO HO Cake?

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.

LOL no. Last weekend i split a large pepperoni pizza with this girl, which was sooo much food, but soooo good. it was worth it. stomach rumbled a little, but may have been due to the cheese.

this time i went to portillos. and if anybodys from chicago or california, you know whatsup. i had an italian beef sandwich, a few sips of my (girl?)friend's cake shake, and a few fries. By the time I was driving home abou 4 hours later....ugh. then i had some salmon patties my mom made, because, why not?

waking up with a terrible stomachache at 6. that's why not.

Cake shake sounds like gut bomb.

Are you trying to figure out if the individual you shared it with is a female, or if she's your GF?

Post like this make me want to have some at least bi-weekly, so that having a pizza once in a while doesn't make my stomach sore. I don't ever want to get to a place where a some pizza, or a bit of a milkshake and some fries makes me sick.

Did you always react like this to this kind of food?

I'm not sure that regular exposure to gluten makes it any less toxic does it?

No...but I know if you cut something out completely for long enough, your body rejects it (even if it's good). For instance, a lot of people who don't eat red meat will feel ill if they have a couple bites of steak.

Maybe not, but I see a lot of people posting and saying that they had their first bite of toast in months, and they get sick for days, or have gas, bloating, etc, etc, etc. Sometimes it's even like they brag about it, like oh my body doesn't like this stuff anymore!!! and I kind of think jesus man, you're happy that you can't eat a piece of pizza or something once in a while?

BTW, this isn't to say I think the OP here is doing this, but I've seen it a bunch of times, and it's just always made me wonder what the hell.

A good observation! "Oh, look how pure I am!"

A lot of that here. You just gotta slide through it.

If wheat was your problem, the pizza would not have been OK and worth it. Lots of wheat in half a large pepperoni pizza.

Sometimes from MDA or talking to other PBer's locally, I think I am the only one that doesnt do a "wheat cheat". 5 months without knowingly eating a grain. I better calm down, the air up here on my pedestal is kind of thin.

I can't do a "wheat cheat," nor would I want to. The pain that comes on if I have even one bite of something containing wheat or wheat products is enough to make me say NEVER AGAIN. It's nearly immediate and my entire body hurts for two to three days before my system purges out the crap that hurts it.

Haha. I'm new here, but I like it, quite a bit.
                              Uhm, let's see.
a.) nah, i'm just trying to figure out what gender it is :P (just kidding....in case she ever somehow sees this, aha)
b.) i don't know. maybe it was the cake shake, but i didn't have much of it. probably about 10 sips (wasn't mine), and then a quarter of a small bag of fries. maybe it was the grease from the beef or the hot peppers? i'm curious. next weekend, i'm going to start testing all of these individually.
c.) look, i'm not giving up pizza. or beef sandwiches. or cake shakes. but that's my way. it's not superior and i don't think it's inferior, either.
