  • Drew Carey

Didn't read this anywhere but thought it was something worth bringning up.

For those of you who hadn't heard, Drew Carey lost 80 lbs.

    http://www.people.com/people/article...406175,00.html

He says how he did it:

"I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind."

He seems to have cut out a lot of fat though. Looking maybe more like a Paleo diet.

I thought the same thing. To be honest though, I really haven't seen him in like 10 years.

Some people's faces look younger when plump... he probably feels 10 years younger and will live 10 years longer now

Equally important, he says, is keeping up his workouts. His secret: "Lots of cardio. About 45 minutes of cardio, at least 45 minutes of cardio. I've been kind of lazy like lately, so I'm not doing it 6 days a week, but I will be for this next month."

            so close, man.

but seriously, yeah - wow, good for him.

I think it's partly a really unflattering picture. That color is god awful on him.

Agree that he looks seriously aged. He also looks a lot like Dennis Leary to me in that shot.

Eat the whole egg, not just the whites!

I remember eating an egg white omelette at a restaurant once and it was like unflavored gelatin.

Good for him, good for anyone who can get down to a healthy weight...but, it looks like low carb AND low cal, and low FAT. That sounds like hell to me...or maybe he's slathering everything w/ butter and just didn't want to say.

Amen. I had an egg white crepe thing once and it tasted like a paper towel.

It's too bad he looks old and washed out now, he could have really helped the primal movement along. As much as it sucks to admit, celebrity endorsement (personal especially) goes a long way nowadays.

2nd this. Some people who lose a lot of weight sometimes have that aged look about them..it may have to do with slight skin sagging in the face etc..but really, good for him.

                              Oh look - I made a Journal.
