  • I saw someone wearing VFFs in public!

For the first time in my life I actually saw someone wearing VFFs in public! I wanted to ask if they were PB but didn't... Any other sightings?

There's a guy I've seen both at the grocery store I shop at, and at the nearby Target who rocks 'em in public. So far aside from myself, that's the only person I've run into in public who wears them. Dude seemed kinda standoffish when I commented.

I see them once or twice a week. I guess that's what happens when you live in a hippie town, though. =] At least if it's young, educated, financially-comfortable hippies.

Oddly, there are NO stores here that sell them, so I've been tempted to ask them where they get theirs, heh.

I'm blogging again, at least a little bit.

I saw a few people wearing them when I went white water rafting - both guides and passengers.

Rather amusing account of what happened at my university during the last academic year. When classes started in August, I was one of probably no more than five or ten people on campus who wore VFF. I only saw one other girl wearing them during the first... oh... probably the entire first semester. (There may have been more wearers of them, I just didn't see them.)

By the end of the academic year I wouldn't go a week without seeing someone wearing them. Indeed, I knew of probably a half-dozen or so people who wore VFF and saw probably at least a dozen more (and of course, there were probably more that I never saw).

The word is getting out about shoes (and how horrid they are for feet); of course, it's happening slowly, but it's a good thing nonetheless.

I've seen them out trail running, out in the park, and at work.

                "Lined" in what sense?

I don't know (don't have a pair myself) but the guy I saw was wearing low-cut socks with them, as he explained to the puzzled old lady and South East Asian family who were looking at them and asking questions!

I saw a guy at Whole Foods with them on a few weeks ago.

Sorry, lined on the inside. I just wonder if they make your feet sweat.

I've never had a real sweating problem with mine. They're meant to be breathable.

Some people wear toe socks with them (like Injini socks). Most prefer them without socks.

I live in Virginia in a rather... well, redneck... (sorry, but not sure how else to explain) area. I had never heard of them nor seen them until MDA. However, in June I saw a girl at a Phish show wearing them - that was my first and only sighting. They were a cute light blue pair -- and boy, she was dancing her butt off! I looked them up on ebay today and found a few pairs that wear only 19.00 -- is it possible there are counterfeits or are some models inexpensive??

Now some people in my Pilates class do wear the toe socks (you have to if you are using their mats).
