out of inspiration from the "would you eat a horse" thread, I'm starting this thread for people to compare what types of animal you've had outside of beef, pork, and chicken.
    alligator
    frog
    snake
    deer
    quail
    duck
    snail
    buffalo
    emu
    shark
    squid
    octopus
and I'm pretty sure I've had elk, but I'm not gonna swear by it

Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves

    Human.

That Mark Sisson guy looks like he'd be really nutrient-dense. Probably pretty tough to catch though. hrmf.

I don't know if these would qualify as weird, but they were all wild versions...

          Elk
          Deer
          Antelope
          Caribou
          Moose
          Big Horn Sheep
          Pheasant
          Quail
          Chucker
          Wild hog

Then most things from a sushi bar raw (octopus, eel, squid....)

I guess being in a different part of the world, all the stuff that has been mentioned seems pretty "normal" to me.

More "unusual" stuff that I've eaten and even eat on regular basis:

              bat (slightly bitter)
              snake
              crocodile (delicious!)
              brains
              fish eyes
              sea urchin
              pigeon
bird saliva (also known as bird's nest)
              goat testicles
pig and chicken intestines (really yummy contrary to what everyone might think)
pig liver/spleen/stomach (making me hungry right now)
              chicken feet
              .
              .
              .

There's nothing I won't eat. For the life of me I can't remember the entire list but I'm sure everything's been mentioned. One by one I'm crossing animals off my mental checklist until I've eaten anything and everything humanly possible.

I am with Diana on this. I am just looking for the opportunity to eat.

The opportunity to eat. Well put.

I love trying new animals, or animal parts. Looks like soon I'll have my first taste of chicken feet.
