  • Human Metabolism Diagram

    Mind blowing isn't it?

No wonder we spend so much time debating even the most basic processes.
What have you done today to make you feel Proud?

I expected it to be larger.
Oh nvm that's only a fraction of it.
What to do: Eat real food, enjoy your food, get out into the sun as often as possible, move around, sleep well and early (like before 11 p.m.), have health as your main goal.

You are probably going to fail if you: Restrict carbs or fat or calories, avoid fruit (because sugar derp), punish yourself with diet/exercise, have weight loss as your only goal,....

Yeah - it's not really legible - I'm working on that - photo loading on this forum is not the most intuitive, IMO

And as you notice - it's not a complete diagram anyway.

I thought it was worth posting as it is illustrative of the complexity.

It's about a lot more than 'carbs are good' or 'carbs are bad'.

        I have this one

        Metabolism at a Glance: 9781405107167: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com

Lotsa great illustrations, but yes it takes many pages worth even in that small print.

Neckhammer, that Metabolism at a Glance book brings back nightmares from my collegiate days. Will garlic keep it away?
The Buck stops here. I am responsible for my past and my future. So for today: I choose to be happy. I will seek wisdom. I will be a servant to others. I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit.

lol....I totally know the feeling. Been a long time for me, but I keep it and a few other texts handy. Its less intimidating when you are not trying to cram it in a 24 hr session for a final

No problem! These sort of illustrations certainly aided me in learning various biochem mechanisms.

                      Yeah - I'm an architect - not a scientist. I need visuals.
